Small list of frequently used acronyms and phrases used

  • FTP - File Tranfer Protocol
  • FTPS / SFTP - Secure File Transfer Protocol
  • FTPS / FTP / CPanel access - Used to connect and allow changes to your website.
  • HTTP - Hypertext Transfer Protocol
  • HTTPS - Hypertext Transfer Protocol (Secure)
  • File Manager - Used to upload files to a website
  • Print Screen or Snapshot - An image of your desktop / mobile screen e.g. Received an error message take a print screen using the prt scr on your keyboard and paste it into an email or image editor
  • Website files - These are files that are used to make a website work
  • Module / Plugin / Integration - Usually a group of files that is required in order for Nochex to be integrated into your website or shopping cart.
